Our Fall Lacrosse season will now feature a play league on Saturday mornings at the Smith Soccer Fields on the campus of Chapel Hill High School from Saturday, September 9th through Saturday October 7th.
This season our rec lacrosse league will include play from youth ages 3rd grade through 12th:
The Middle School and Elementary school age groups will begin their sessions at 9:00am and start with 30 minutes of teaching and skill building before they play for an hour.
These groups will be split into two groups during the hour play based on age and experience level. We will have one field designated for elementary school and younger middle school age players and one for older more advanced middle schoolers.
The High School ages will be split into four teams. Games will be played at either 10:30 am or 11:30 am and consist of two 24 minute running halves.
All of our sessions will have Hilltopper coaches in attendance who will help facilitate and ref the games.
The goal of our pick up and play league is to allow triangle area lacrosse players the ability to play the sport in a fun, low stress environment. While our club team practices and tournament games allow our players the ability to compete at a high level, our play league is intended to allow players the ability to work on their skills and truly enjoy the game. The play league will be run by our Hilltopper staff who rotate players through and make sure everyone has the chance to maximize the number of reps they get.
All players who are part of our fall lacrosse program will automatically be enrolled in our play league. Non-members of our fall program are allowed to join us by registering through clicking the button below. The cost of the league for non-program members is $125.
