Our Summer Play League is a great way for lacrosse players of all skill and ability levels to play lacrosse during the summer. This is a purely recreational league that allows players to pick up their sticks every Wednesday night to go play lacrosse with their friends. Each session will be lead by Hilltopper Coaches who will serve as referees and will facilitate substitutions to make sure everyone is getting on the field.
Our league offers multiple age and skill groups to play. Each division will be capped at a total of 60 players, with individual limits by position. Our goal is to make sure that in each division everyone gets their chance to play.
This year’s Summer Play League will be held on Wednesday nights from June 10th, through July 1st at Homestead Park in Chapel Hill. We will have one Monday night session on Monday, June 15th. All players will need to bring their own lacrosse equipment and a reversible jerseys that has a white side.
Middle School Division – 5:30pm – 6:30pm. Players in the classes of 2030-2033. Beginner players in the 2028 Class are eligible here upon request. Games at the middle school ages will be played as 10v10 games
High School Division – 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Players in the grades of 2027 through 2029. Advanced players in the class of 2030 are eligible to register here as well. High School games will be played as 8 vs 8 games to allow more teams to play. The field will consist of two attackmen, three midfielders, two defensemen, and a goalie.
Please plan to arrive at least ten minutes before the start of your first game to play. Players who wish to play in a level above their current grade level need to request permission through the Carolina Hilltopper Program. Please email Carolinahilltoppers@gmail.com with these inquiries. In some instances we will allow players to play a second game if we have limited turnout on a given night.
How much does the league cost?
The price of the league is $150 for five nights of play. Members of the Carolina Hilltopper Summer Travel team should apply the discount code that was provided via email.

One of the best ways to improve is by playing and playing a lot! Our Summer Play League allows players to get on the field and work on their game in a fun, low-pressure environment.
